Summer Fun #2

We went on a train ride.. nothing too eventful but the kids were pretty excited about being on a train and hearing the horn.

Joshua and Avery

Pouring water on himself as he sits in the chair... in the pool

Someone loved his chocolate treat!

We visited the memorials downtown Grand Rapids..
Here is Joshua and Daddy playing with the water

In memory of those from Grand Rapids killed in all the wars we have since our country was founded

Joshua LOVES going to the school playground just a couple doors down from us.

His other favorite thing to do... swing. He could be on here for an hour, get off and 30 minutes later want to get back on

We got another dog for a short time.. it was a trial run that didn't end up working out. His name is Shadow and he is a really nice dog but seemed to have anxiety issues when one of us would leave. Very lovable, didn't do well with new people.. he got way too excited and wouldn't leave them alone. There were too many things that showed us he was not fit for a pastor's family life style. Thankfully we found a lady who was willing to take him and treat him well.

Joshua decided one day to swing from the stair railing. He came crashing into the corner of the wall at the bottom of the stairs. Good thing it was only 5 steps and the cut healed pretty good. He will have a slight scar but nothing major was damaged.

Summer fun #1

Memorial day- we visited my grandparents grave.. my grandpa fought in WWII.. it has been 14 years since my grandmother died, 11 years since my grandpa died.

We found a fire truck for Josh to ride for $0.50.. He wasn't happy to get off!

On our way to Canada for our denominational synod meetings.

Mr Cool Dude!

While Ian was at synod, Joshua and I had fun visiting with people and playing on the playground in the backyard of the family we stayed at.
