14 weeks!!

14 weeks today!!
We had our doctor's appt this morning...

Here is the size of fruit the baby is this week..

your baby's the size of a lemon!
At week 14, your baby is 3.4 inches and 1.5 ounces, he's almost doubled in weight since last week and keeps on growing.

We were able to hear the heart beat as well!! What a blessing to hear there is a little baby developing and growing inside of me.

your baby at 14 weeks
  • He's probably sucking his thumb and wiggling his toes in there!
  • His kidneys are making urine, and his liver and spleen are doing their jobs, too.
  • And he's growing lanugo, a thin, peach-fuzz-like hair, all over his body -- it will help him keep warm!

Thank you for all your prayers!

Banff and Lake Louise

Well, it has been a while since I have posted pictures of our travels this summer. So here we go again!

We visited the Fairmount Hotel that is located in Banff. Beautiful building!!!
The first few are of the hotel... we were able to walk around and view the antique looking rooms and furniture and art work.

View from Fairmount...

Long corridor where we stopped to rest and enjoy the view from the window

Mountain views we passed on our way to the hotel...

We were accompanied by dear friends of ours on our trip to Banff/Lake Louise.. Stan & Juliet McKenzie

"....Joy Cometh in the Morning" Psalm 30:5

Ian and I would like to inform you all that we are expecting again!!
I am 12 weeks along right now!

your baby's the size of a plum!
The average baby at 12 weeks is about 2.1 inches long and .49 ounces.
Now that he/she's got pretty much all her parts, her main job is to keep on growing.

I will admit I was nervous ever since we found out.. seeing as my last pregnancy only went till 6 1/2 weeks.
But the Lord has taken care of us so far, I have not had any symptoms of there being a problem so we continue to pray for health and strength in the coming weeks and months. My only symptoms were morning sickness and I was very tired, but once 11 weeks hit, the sickness disappeared thankfully!
I have not visited a Doctor yet, so there still could be complications that we are not aware of but we trust that God still has everything under control and that it is all to His honor and glory.

your baby at 12 weeks
  • Most of her critical systems are fully formed!
  • She's about to enter the growth and maturation stage, in which her organs and tissues will grow and develop rapidly.
  • She's now developing her reflexes -- if you poke her body, she'll likely move.
  • She's opening and closing her fingers and curling her toes, too.
  • Her brain is developing fast!
Amazing what all they can tell you at this stage (just from googling it on the web)
As we continue week to week trusting that the Lord has everything in control and that His ways are perfect, we covet your prayers for strength and peace for what ever is in store for us.
It is not easy knowing that anything can happen so quicly with out our control but we know the Lord will carry us through anything He places in our pathway.

(P.S. we do not know the sex of the baby, so you all will have to wait till the delivery day for that!!)

The mountains...

Waterfall we stopped at, there was so much water coming it was falling in two places rather than the one spot it was supposed to fall at to the left.
